Baggage Claim or Baggage Reclaim

Visiting London, Cambridge and the very interesting 2010 British Colloquium in Theoretical Computer Science at Edinburgh was splendid! More later. But a poll is called for. How to call the area to collect your baggage: “Baggage reclaim” or “Baggage claim”?

    I am quite glad you have made that poll. Actually, I have written a post about the baggage claim or reclaim question, having noticed the difference between British and other European airports. You have find the post here:

    To me, the correct term should be “Baggage Reclaim”. The baggage is already yours; you just need to reclaim it after giving it away for the flight.

  6. It’s clearly a Baggage Claim. Why would somebody call it baggage reclaim?
